Our Labs Are In 🙌
Tuesday Sync Stack: How niacin + daily habits moved our cholesterol in just 30 days.

Hey friends,
We went in for our follow-up labs yesterday—and the results were exciting. My HDL (the “good” cholesterol) jumped 20 points in just one month! Normally, changes this dramatic take eight weeks or more, so our doctor was impressed. The change is attributed almost entirely to switching to instant-release niacin.
Aaron also saw major improvements—he dropped 30 points on his total cholesterol. His HDL only increased slightly, from 43 to 45, which is expected since his overall cholesterol dropped so significantly. Our doctor agrees that niacin played a larger part in these changes and expects his HDL to continue rising, as niacin protects the proteins that build HDL. His recommendations for Aaron: increase niacin from 500 mg to 1,000 mg, experiment to see what works best, and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.

🧪The Numbers & Snapshot
Here’s a snapshot of the numbers from my latest labs:

The numbers on the right are from April 2025 draw.
This is proof that the current protocol is working: instant release niacin, nutrition, our consistent exercise routine, and rebounding to stimulate the lymphatic system.
Why It All Matters
We’ve known for a while that my liver has been sluggish due to estrogen dominance, which is why I began rebouding in the first place. Rebounding is important because it enhances lymphatic drainage and supports the liver in removing toxins. However, if the liver can’t fully process and eliminate estrogren through bile and stool, the body ends up recycling what it can’t expel. This is why lymphatic support alone isn’t enough.
Excess estrogen can contribute to:
fatigue
weight gain
stubborn fat around the midsection
mood swings
a “heavier” or bloated feeling
estrogen-dependent cancers
(Curious about the lymphatic system and inflammation? Read this: Flow State: Moving Lymph, Calming Inflammation.)
The Missing Link
From my lab numbers (not shown), I know that my body is producing the right amount of estrogen, but my cumulative totals were very high, pointing to estrogen dominance and a build-up in my system.
This is why we added targeted supplements and other interventions—to support full estrogen clearance and reduce accumulation.
My Current Supplement Stack
NOW Foods Instant-Release Niacin – supports HDL (“good” cholesterol) and cardiovascular health
Additions to the Protocol:
Probiomed Women Probiotic – supports gut health and digestion
Calcium D-Glucarate – assists with clearing excess estrogen
Seed cycling, lots of fiber through green leafy veggies
Semorelin (optional/future) – supports lean muscle gain, fat reduction, and metabolic health (not a GLP-1 agonist; works with your body’s own growth hormone system)
*At this time, we do not have any affiliation with Designs for Health or NOW supplements. This is what we have found has worked for us, and our biology. We hope you find this helpful in your health journey. If anything use this as a conversation starter with your physcian.
🗓️ Next 2 Months: The Game Plan
Take the new supplements consistently
Rebound daily to support lymph flow
Include one cardio/HIIT session per week – this also helps pump the lymphatic system, increase heart rate for cardiovascular health, and support cardiac remodeling to offset inflammation and aging of the heart.
Bonus: What’s Next?
Because of MTHFR plus estrogen dominance, I’m also exploring Semorelin. I’ve been training consistently for almost three years—while I’ve gotten stronger, dropped dress sizes, and made progress, I feel like I’m wearing a bit of a “fat suit” and have hit a plateau. I want to see where I land after these next two months with the current protocol, and if it’s something to consider, I’ll decide then.
Would you all like to follow along and see the transformation if I move forward? |
🧩 Takeaway
This month’s results show that niacin did its job, but it wouldn’t have worked nearly as well without the foundation of consistent, targeted habits—from nutrition and movement to thoughtful supplementation. Small, consistent interventions can produce measurable, sometimes surprising results when they work together as a system.
Here’s to science, sweat, and smart supplementation!
